HOW TO RESET YOUR PASSWORD:
- Go to HammerTech and click Login.
- Enter your email address and click Continue, then Forgot your Password? to start the reset process
- Check your inbox for an email titled "You requested a password reset" from HammerTech (see below)
- Click on the link provided in the email to start the password reset process.
- Once you reach the Password Reset Complete page, select Login, enter your email address again, and click Continue.
- You will receive another email titled "You requested a password reset," which contains a temporary password. (see below)
- Go back to HammerTech and enter the temporary password when prompted
- You will then be directed to a page to create a new password
- Once you select Change Password, you will be shown the Password Changed page below. From there, you can select Continue to go directly into the client's Hammertech platform.
IF YOU CONTINUE TO HAVE ISSUES
Here is a deep dive into all the steps you can take if you are still having password reset issues...
When trying to do password resets, and you have had multiple attempts, it is really important to ensure you only use the latest email you receive in your inbox. Otherwise, the link in the email will be expired and will not work.
Try to follow the below process.
- Delete ALL HammerTech password emails that you have in your inbox, so you don't use an expired link
- Close all open Web Browsers to ensure no cached pages cause a conflict
- Open a new browser window, go to HammerTech, click login, enter your email and click Continue
- On the next web page, where you would normally put your password in, click on the Forgot your Password?
- You will then receive the 1st of 2 emails in your inbox, titled You requested a password reset
This email will ask you to click on a web link, please do this
The web page that opens will advise you that a temporary password has been sent to you via email
** YOU CAN NOW CLOSE THE WEB PAGE THAT OPENED ** - Wait at least 2 to 4 minutes for the 2nd email, which is also going to be called You requested a password reset
** IMPORTANT: Check your Junk and Spam folder as it may go there ** - Open the 2nd email and copy the temporary password, then click the login link provided within the 2nd email
** DO NOT USE ANY EXISTING OPEN INTERNET WINDOWS OR THE 1st EMAIL **
** ONLY USE THE LOGIN LINK INSIDE THE 2nd EMAIL ** - This will take you to a website where you will need to enter your temporary password
- Next, you will be taken to a web page asking you to create your new password
- Finally, you will be taken to a login page where you can log in with your new password
