Subcontractors can create and update Safety Data Sheets (SDS) in HammerTech for builder review.
Create an SDS
1. Log into HammerTech and select your project.
2. Go to SDS > Create New.
3. Enter Manufacturer and Supplier (choose 'Same as Manufacturer' if applicable).
4. Enter Product Name and Unique Formula ID.
5. Select Hazard Classification.
6. Enter Issue Date and Expiry Date.
7. Add Comments or Employer Notes.
8. Choose whether to make the SDS public (default is public).
- Tick Hide on Public Site if required.
9. Upload a PDF copy (max 25MB).
10. Select Pictograms for hazards.
11. Add Attachments and classify if needed.
12. Click Submit for Approval.
Review and Amend SDS
- Go to SDS > My SDS.
- Open a rejected SDS and review Reviewer Notes.
- Click Options > Edit, update fields or upload replacement file.
- Add Employer Notes if required.
- Click Save Changes. Status resets to Pending Review.
